Master Augutus Mitchell, VII Dan |

Master Mitchell VII Dan (MA & BA (hons)), became involved in Tae kwon-do in the early 1970's. He travels the world attending seminars and officiating at international events. Master Mitchell was a former coordinator of the business of the School of Tae kwon-do in the city of Oxford, UK. He has hosted several championships and Training Seminars in the UK.
Master Mitchell is President of both the Grenada Tae kwon-do Association formed in 1993; and the Eastern Caribbean TKD Association, founded in 1997. He was appointed Ambassador for the Caribbean in 1998, and awarded Outstanding Instructor in 1999. He was also a founder member involved in the set up of the African Tae kwon-do Association to support and promote disadvantaged students of Tae kwon-do in the UK. Master Mitchell was promoted to Vice President for the Pan Am Tae kwon-do Council, his responsibility and role is to promote and develop ITF Tae kwon-do in all the Caribbean Islands. Master Mitchell is also a member of the International Tae kwon-do Federation (ITF) Executive committee and consultative council member.
Master Mitchell is currently running ITF Tae kwon-do in Grenada and continuing to promote ITF Tae kwon-do in the Caribbean. He hosts and conducts seminars and ITF championships in Grenada and the Caribbean. As a member of the International Martial arts Games Committee (IMGC), his role is to distribute information and to pass on information to other martial art organisations.
Master Mitchell is committed to fulfilling his duties and responsibilities. To achieve these goals, his philosophy has been to remain focused, open and available for consultation and discussion when promoting the art of ITF Tae kwon-do and Martial arts. |

Master Tim Helstrip, VII Dan |
Master Helstrip started training in September 1974 in a class taught by his brother David, where he trained until he reached black belt which coincided with going to University . Over the years Master Helstrip has taught both as a part time instructor, starting in 1979 in Kingston, London and as a full time instructor from 1985 to 1991 in the Anglia Region.
As a management consultant Master Helstrip has lived for extended periods in other countries where he has delivered Telecommunications projects as well as trained with a wide variety of Instructors, Masters and even Grand Masters. Countries he has worked and trained in include Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, India, Russia and Indonesia. He also lived for a number of years in the USA.
A member of the UKTA management committee, having been its Chairman for a short period, Master Helstrip is looking forward to the new challenges of being a Master.

Master Andrew Whiteley , VII Dan |

Whilst pursuing a successful competitive career in badminton to international level until 1991, Master Whiteley was a comparative latecomer to Taekwon-Do. He started training in Reading with Master Cutler in 1984 before promotion to 1st Degree in 1988 following a memorable course instructed by Master Park Jung Tae.
He gained his first international success for Taekwon-Do in 1990 during the 7th World Championships, Canada and continued with further medal success at the 6th European Championships, England 1991. He was then offered placement on a one year’s intensive training course at the
Olympic Centre, Moscow University, the former USSR, run by Master Ri Yong Sok.
and later qualified in 1992 as IV Degree International Instructor and‘A Class’ Umpire by Gen. Choi Hong Hi.
He has since covered 14 European Championships, 10 World and as many Home Internationals either as competitor, or as England Coach from 1998, culminating in two individual medals in both patterns and power test at the Veteran World Championships in Bulgaria 2006. He was a Combat Hall of Fame Awards Winner in 2001, made presentations to HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh in 2002, and HRH Princess Anne in 2004.
Now Coaching Director for ITF England and UKTA National Demonstration Team he continues to promote Taekwon-Do in the Thames Valley during its own 25th year as well as assisting with the development of ITF France, where he is now based.
His promotion to VII Degree in March 2007 is the most recent in the UKTA 40th Anniversary.
