UKTA Awards Dinner Dance
This year’s Awards Dinner and Dance will be Saturday 21st November Renaissance Manchester Hotel, Medici Ball Room, 7.00pm start. Our First Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha, and UKTA Masters will again present the awards.

The people below have been nominated and short-listed for the following awards. This is now your chance to vote for who you would like to win from the list below. To register your vote simply e-mail nominations@ukta.com with who you would like to vote for and for what award. You are allowed one vote per person per award.
Nominees this is your chance to champion your cause the more votes you receive the more likely you are to win…. so its time to start lobbying!
Closing date for voting is Saturday 14th November, votes received after this date will not be counted.
Educational & Technical Award:
Susan Hunter - for her ‘children’s corner’ contribution to the UKTA magazine
Senior Master Paul Cutler - for his contribution to introducing an Examiners section into the Instructors course and improving the format of the Black belt seminars
Darren Brinham - for his contribution to the UKTA Magazine
Inspirational & Motivational Award:
Alex McGowan - he inspires students to achieve their best and commit to their training
Senior Master John Williamson - he inspires students to achieve their best and commit to their training
Katie Oliff - she inspires people through her achievements as a competitor, with a long list of titles spanning her competing history
Junior Alleyne - he inspires people through the manner in which he approaches his Umpiring duties
Cedric Cools - he inspires people through his achievements as a competitor
Felix Lopez - he inspires students with his commitment having travelled over 60 miles to help a neighbouring school
Susan Hunter - she inspires students to achieve their best and commit to their training
People’s Choice Award:
Master Andrew Whitely - he inspires students to achieve their best and commit to their training
Dylan Hey - for his dedication to Taekwon-Do, having given up football to focus on Taekwon-do and for his willingness to help fellow students achieve their best
Junior Alleyne - for his approachable manner and the way in which he conducts his Umpiring duties
Alan Clark - for his commitment to the UKTA through UKTA Events and in his capacity as coach.
Supporters Award:
Master Derek Blackburn - for his contribution, over many years, to the UKTA with his photography skills
Paul Harris - for his dedication to the UKTA; he is prepared to travel and tirelessly champions the UKTA, he also assists Master Miller in delivering the Umpire courses
Carrie Proctor - for her dedication to the UKTA and help in ensuring events run smoothly
John McMillan - for his dedication to the UKTA through his support in maintaining and updating the UKTA website
Requests are made for the Outstanding Lifestyle Improvement Award for both Senior and Junior, this award will be divided into two categories; Junior and Senior (under 18 and over 18) and is for the member who with the support of their training has enriched their life. Examples may include an improved performance at school, better attitude at home, or a student that has been able to overcome a disability etc.
To make the presentation evening a success we would like to ensure that winners of the awards are in attendance to receive their award. All nominees will be politely requested to attend. Tickets are available for £45 per Person. Rooms at the Renaissance Hotel are available at £85 for a single and £95 for a double. This includes Breakfast.
